Malware in Setup_ivsEdits2016LE_b607.exe

The installation program tries to install GpuEfxEngine.dll but Norton prevents it, says there is a Trojan in it. ivsEdits won't run without that dll. I tend to trust Norton, it has saved me many times, so don't tell me to disable it! Is there a work-around? Thanks.

I too have Norton block guuefxengine.dll. Norton reports it contains trojan.gen.8!cloud. Any info ivs can supply in this matter is appreciated.

Addendum: can't download previous versions so can't restore safe version.

Re: Malware in Setup_ivsEdits2016LE_b607.exe

Hello Elwwod and Markp ,

sorry the forum notifications are not working. Anyway there is no any malware in our installers, it has been certified by most important sites like Softpedia, VideoHelp and similars. If you are getting  a virus/malware report it  is a false positive and could you ask to Norton to certify that our installer is containining a malware?

Alternatively please try virustotal.com or could be better to replace the old and slower Norton Antivirus app with a true fast and supersafe antivirus app like AVIRA (http://www.avira.com).

Best regards

Roberto Castellano

To run ivsEdits we already recommend to not install Eset, AVG and Avast... now we will suggest to remove Norton too. Thank you!
