Problem with .avi files

Hello. I recently downloaded free ivsEdit to make a video. I recorded my footage from game with Bandicam which saves videos in .avi files.

The problem is that everytime when I'm trying to import my recorded video it shows it's not supported. Help anyone?

Re: Problem with .avi files

According with published ivsEdits specs you can edit only AVI with supported codecs: Uncompressed, MJPEG and DV series. AVI is only a media container like MOV, MXF, MP4 or MKV , while the codec is the format of your video files. Please see the supported video formats here: http://www.ivsedits.com/default/compare.aspx

Re: Problem with .avi files

I converted my vid to supported format but that didn't changed anything.

Re: Problem with .avi files

what is the codec of the converted files? Can you send to us a short sample? Generally If you have followed the specs and you havent installed any codec pack or none of these antivirus apps (AVG, AVAST, ESET NOD) ivsEdits should be able to import your files without problems.

Re: Problem with .avi files

I have a similar problem, because my ivsEdits doesn't read MOV files. But AVI films are acceptable. Can you help me?

Re: Problem with .avi files

Hi

Well, the problem is quite simple, because after opening MOV file the program says it cannt open this file although it should run. Nothging more.
The file is OK in 100%, I've opened it in Windows Movie Maker without any problem.

The solution I thought was to encode MOV to AVI and then try it in ivsEdits. It works, but its too much work. Any idea?

Best Regards
